Luis Suárez charged with violent conduct by FA

Luis Suárez has been charged with violent conduct by the FA after his shameful bite on Chelsea defender Ivanovic in yesterday’s 2-2 Premier League draw at Anfield.

But Suárez now faces a lengthy suspension after the FA claimed the standard three-match ban was “clearly insufficient”.

The Uruguayan has until 6pm tomorrow to respond to the charge before an independent regulatory commission will be convened on Wednesday.

Suárez was banned for seven games in November 2010 after biting PSV Eindhoven midfielder Otman Bakkal’s shoulder when at Ajax.

Since his move to Liverpool, he was given an eight-match suspension and fined £40,000 for racially abusing Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra in December 2011.

He will not face a police investigation because Ivanovic said he did not want to press charges.

However,Liverpool have insisted they will not sell their star despite the latest transgression.(ಠ_ಠ)
