Malcolm Shabazz, grandson of Malcolm X dies

Some sources say Shabazz, 28, was thrown off a rooftop after being shot during an attempted robbery on Thursday, May 9,but Miguel Suarez,Shabazz's friend said he was with him when his friend was beaten up during a dispute over a bill at a Mexico City bar.
Suarez took him to a hospital where he died on Thursday.
He plead guilty to arson and was sentenced to 18 months in a juvenile detention center. Shabazz’s sentence was extended due to discipline problems and he was released four years later.
At the age of 17, he was sentenced to three years in a New York state prison after taking part in a violent street robbery in Middletown, Orange County.
At the age of 22, admitted to smashing the window of a Dunkin' Donuts in Yonkers the previous August. He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal mischief.
According to his blog, which was last updated on May 2, Shabazz had been traveling the United States and elsewhere, speaking about the "struggles that confront this generation."...

Shabazz was the son of Qubilah Shabazz, the second daughter of Malcolm X and his wife Betty Shabazz.
In June 1997,at the age of 12 he burned his own Grandmother to death. Shabazz set a fire at his grandmother Betty Shabazz’s home. She died from severe burns, and he served four years in juvenile detention.He plead guilty to arson and was sentenced to 18 months in a juvenile detention center. Shabazz’s sentence was extended due to discipline problems and he was released four years later.
