Military plane crashes in Algeria, kills more than 100
The aircraft carrying soldiers and their families crashed into in a mountainous area of Oum al-Bouaghi province, about 500 km from the capital Algiers.
The plane took off from the southern city of Tamanrasset and was heading to Constantine, according to military sources.
Poor weather is believed to be the cause of the crash.
This is the first major accident in the country since 2003, when an Air Algerie Boeing 737 crashed on take-off from Tamanrasset, killing 102 people.
