British woman marries her dog

A British woman says she has finally found the true meaning of marriage now that she has divorced her husband and married her dog.

Amanda Rodgers, 47, whose marriage to a man 20-years ago was short-lived, got married to her dog Sheba in a beautiful ceremony attended by 200 guests in Croatia.

Amanda wore black stockings and suspenders for the ceremony while Sheba wore a more traditional white bridal frock.

Rodgers says she got down on one knee to propose and ascertained from Sheba's wagging tail that she said yes.

Newlywed Amanda Rodgers says she and her dog/wife Sheba just have a very deep emotional connection.

According to her, Sheba has been a part of her life for years, comforting her and making her laugh and she couldn't think of anything more she'd need from a life partner.
