Steak with green beans and mash
Beef steak
Salt
4 cloves garlic
Pepper
Butter and oil
Sweat potatoes or regular white potatoes.
Fresh corn
Green beans
Method:
Sprinkle& season both sides of each steak with salt, pepper& garlic.Leave the beef to marinate in the fridge for many hours or over night if possible.
Peel the potatoes& bring to the boil over high heat and cook for 10 minutes or until tender. Drain and use a potato masher or fork to mash until smooth. Season with salt& pepper. For regular white potatoes before you mash add a bit of milk, butter and salt.
Fry green beans with a bit of butter or olive oil, pepper and vinegar don't cook it so soft.
Heat the oil& butter in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for 2-3 minutes each side for medium or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate and cover loosely with foil. Set aside for 5 minutes to rest.
This recipe is one of my best serve it right away after cooking don't let the mashed potatoes sit for long it's better to boil the potatoes while steak is cooking and mash when it's hot in that 5 mins when your steak is covered with foil.
