Breaking news:12 dead,58 injured in Batman movie shooting!

12 people are confirmed dead and 38 have been injured in a shooting at the premiere of the new Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises,"in a movie theater in Aurora near Denver, Colorado, according to numerous reports.

The shooting happened at the Century Aurora 16 cinema in a mall in the suburb of Aurora, Denver, Colorado which was packed for a midnight premiere. Two separate devices were also said to have been found in vehicles outside the cinema.

It was a dark theater, playing a movie that includes gunshots, in the middle of the night. So when a gunman began shooting, many inside the theater didn't realize what was happening.

Witnesses said,The moment Batman appeared on screen a man wearing body armour and a gas mask, and wielding at least one long gun, stood up and faced the crowd then opened fire.

The gunman co-ordinated shooting with the movie:

People thought it was part of the movie. They heard what they thought were firecrackers, loud bangs and all of a sudden they saw the bullets flying.

24-yrs old white male suspect {James Holmes}has been apprehended by police in the parking lot outside the theater.He was reportedly wearing body armour and a gas mask and used tear gas in the assault inside the cinema.

He was in the rear parking lot which really is not a public parking lot for the theatre. He did not resist, he did not put up a fight

Holmes was a Neuroscience PhD candidate at the University Colorado. He was in the process of withdrawing from the school before the shooting.

Investigators confirmed that explosives were found. It is unclear if they were scheduled to detonate or if it was part of a stockpile
