Rumors swirling around that Snow White and the Huntsman star Kristen Stewart will not return for the originally planned sequel as Universal Pictures has decided to drop its planned sequel and instead focus with a Huntsman spin-off starring Chris Hemsworth.
But Universal Pictures has denied a report stating that the studio had dropped the actress from the project in the aftermath of her infidelities with the original "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.

The studio [Universal] has not decided if they even want to make a sequel and they haven’t even decided whether they would include Kristen in it. No director has been attached to the film, not decisions have been made. But there is talk of a Huntsman spin off starring Chris Hemsworth. But there’s still a chance Kristen would be in that, no decision has been made.”
It remains unclear whether Sanders would direct, though it's hard to imagine he would be given the recent tabloid frenzy sparked by his extramarital romance with Stewart.
