Iraq's government is considering the idea of ​​establishing oil and gas extraction training center in its commitment to enhancing long-term relationship between the two sides.

So Tanzania students will have a chance to learn more about the extractive industries in a program on covering oil, gas and mineral sector not to mention practices to improve the safety and health of workers in the industry.

 Currently, the University of Dodoma is the only university that has started to offer Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering.

The University of Dar es Salaam is also planning to introduce a degree in petroleum engineering so as to ensure that Tanzanians fully participate in the gas and oil sub-sector.

Africa should benefit from mineral, oil and gas sector.Transparency is not just needed in revenues, but in the entire value chain – from licencing, contracting, fiscal procedures, and the regulatory framework guiding the sector.
