Lauryn Hill sentenced to three months in jail for tax evasion!!!
She claims to have paid the gov't her $970K in back taxes BEFORE the sentencing, but apparently that didn't sufficiently impress the judge!
Now the phenomenal former Fugees star faces a three months stint in a federal prison and will spend another three months on house arrest after that!!
The 37-year-old star knew she was in hot water after pleading guilty last year to several counts of tax evasion on earnings of around $1.8 mil, but we doubt she expected this outcome!!
The judge ordered the singer to report to prison by July 8, but it's still unclear precisely where she will spend her time behind bars.
