Kenya mall siege: operations declared over

Like a war zone: Kenya Defence Forces soldiers take their position at the Westgate shopping centre
The 4-day siege at Westgate mall in Nairobi, Kenya is finally over. Kenya's President tonight announced that his country had 'ashamed and defeated' its attackers following the siege on a Nairobi mall that has left 61 civilians and six security officers dead.

Three floors of the shopping centre collapsed towards the end of the operation by security forces, five alleged terrorists have been killed  and another 11 suspects are in custody.

Almost 200 people were injured while 67 people are still unaccounted for. The Kenyan president said he can't confirm the nationality of the terrorist. He also declared three days of national mourning.

May God rest the lost souls in peace...Amen.
