Former Aston Villa midfielder, Thomas Hitzlsperger, comes out as gay
Former Aston Villa, West Ham and Germany international midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger has announced he is gay.But he waited to retire from football before revealing his sexual preference.
The 31-year-old, who ended his playing career in September 2013 due to persistent injuries, told German newspaper

Hitzlsperger has become the first player to have played in the Premier League to reveal he is gay.
