Kenyan policewoman's tight skirt causes a storm
Linda has reportedly explained that the skirt was actually part of the official uniform, but she had gained a bit of weight, which made the skirt appear much tighter than it already was.
But according to her bosses, they have advised her not to wear the skirt again and they have issued her a new set of uniform so that the uniform can depict them decently.
Okello was reprimanded by her superiors as a result of her “inappropriate” dressing, because according to them, it violated their dress code.
Kenyans on Twitter are outraged after Corporal Linda Okello was reprimanded for wearing a tight skirt. Thousands tweeted their messages of support using the hashtag #KenyansForLindaOkello.
It's not the first time police uniforms have hit the headlines in Kenya. Last year police were barred from wearing lipstick and big earrings while on duty as it was considered "unprofessional".
