Tottenham Player Gareth Bale has been voted the Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year by his fellow professionals in English football.
Bale has become just the third player to win both of the Professional Footballers’ Association’s (PFA) main awards since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2007(Manchester United) and Andy Gray, in 1977( Aston Villa).
The 23-year-old Wales international, beat off stiff competition from Luis Suarez, Robin van Persie, Michael Carrick, Juan Mata and Eden Hazard to claim the accolade.
Bale was also named Young Player of the Year at Sunday’s ceremony.
