A feast for the eyes!

Boko Haram gunmen yesterday morning Sunday September 29th stormed the student dormitory of the College of Agriculture in Gujba, Yobe State,Nigeria shooting students as they slept, killing at least 78 of them. The death toll could be way higher as several dead bodies were recovered from hostels, classrooms, bushes and corners around the school.

Area Military spokesman Lazarus Eli confirmed the incident and said that security forces have been deployed to the school to protect surviving students until they can all leave the campus. Eli said the attack was carried out by “Boko Haram terrorists who went into the school and opened fire on students while they were sleeping"

Four-time FIFA footballer of the year Lionel Messi and his father Jorge arrived in a Spanish court this morning Friday September 27th to answer charges of alleged tax fraud. Messi and his father are being accused of hiding over £3.4 million by filing incomplete tax returns from 2006 to 2009.

The charges against father and son was lodged by a state prosecutor in June 2013 claiming that they tried to conceal earnings from Messi's image rights - charges they both deny.

I never take care of that (tax) stuff myself and neither does my father,Messi said in July. We have our lawyers and our wealth managers to take care of that and we trust them and they will sort this out. The truth is I don’t have a clue about all this and that is why we have people taking care of it.

Messi has already paid the Spanish authorities the unpaid tax he's owing plus interest (he paid £4.2m) but because tax fraud is a serious offense in Spain, he still has to make an appearance in court where the courts will determine whether the case is pursued any further. Hopefully it will all end today!

The 4-day siege at Westgate mall in Nairobi, Kenya is finally over. Kenya's President tonight announced that his country had 'ashamed and defeated' its attackers following the siege on a Nairobi mall that has left 61 civilians and six security officers dead.

Three floors of the shopping centre collapsed towards the end of the operation by security forces, five alleged terrorists have been killed  and another 11 suspects are in custody. 

Almost 200 people were injured while 67 people are still unaccounted for. The Kenyan president said he can't confirm the nationality of the terrorist. He also declared three days of national mourning.

Soldiers said a white woman wearing a veil was shouting orders to gunmen in Arabic during the bloody massacre inside the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi on Saturday.

Samantha may have been killed today as a dead white woman was found among Islamic terrorists killed by soldiers as they stormed the mall this evening. Kenyan authorities haven't confirmed that the woman is really Samantha. Her name was first linked to the attack after Al Shabaab praised her on their Twitter account for leading the attack at Westgate mall.

Moments after the news of Samantha's demise broke, Al Shabaab, took to Twitter to claim that she's safe.

Eleven soldiers were also wounded in the fight with the terrorists this evening. Kenyan police said that more than 200 civilians were rescued as troops took control of all the floors of the mall.

30 colorful suitcases containing an amazing 1.3 tons of pure cocaine was found on an Air France flight on Wednesday September 11th. According to reports, the suitcases which weren't registered to any of the passengers on the plane, was discovered by French immigration officials on arrival of the flight from Venezuela. The suitcases which came from Caracas, were found on Sept. 11, but French authorities didn't publicize the find until this past weekend.

The estimated value of the narcotic was put at $270 million.

Yesterday, Venezuela's Public Ministry said that authorities have detained several people including 3 members of the National Guard in connection with the incident. A detailed investigation is in progress.

For attacking its citizens with chemical weapons on August 21, president Barack Obama wants the US to take military action against Syria and is now seeking congressional authorization to intervene.

The Syrian government carried out chemical weapons attack in Damascus in the early hours of August 21, killing at least 1,400 people as they slept in their homes. Although the government is denying being behind the attack, president Obama says the military action against Syria is necessary to deter future chemical attacks...not only in Syria but other governments thinking of doing same.

We cannot and will not turn a blind eye to what happened in Damascus. What message are we sending out if a dictator can gas hundreds of children to death in plain sight without paying a price...Obama said 

Once the US congress reconvenes on September 9th, president Obama will have his answer.

Meanwhile Britain has said they will not take part in any military action against Syria but UK Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted:
