Black and Proud Lupita Nyong'o was one of the honored at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon event held yesterday February 28 at The Beverly Hills Hotel.

Accepting her award, the 30-year-old actress gave one of the most powerful speeches about self-acceptance and loving yourself just the way you are. Her message basically is, "Black is beautiful" and you really don't  need to be ashamed. She also mentioned Dencia in her speech. Read her inspiring speech below:
Thank you Alfre, for such an amazing, amazing introduction and celebration of my work. And thank you very much for inviting me to be a part of such an extraordinary community.

I am surrounded by people who have inspired me, women in particular whose presence on screen made me feel a little more seen and heard and understood. A man is suing McDonald for $1.5million for giving him only one napkin and refusing to give him any when he asked for more.

TMZ reports:
McDonalds has made a new golden arch enemy -- a California man is suing the company for $1.5 MILLION ... because he says he only got ONE NAPKIN with his meal.

Webster Lucas claims he was stiffed on napkins at the Mickey D's in Pacoima, CA on January 29th -- after ordering a Quarter Pounder Deluxe -- and when he went up to the counter to ask for more, he was rudely rebuffed by the manager ... who insisted he already got some.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are about to tie the knot after nearly two years of dating.

The lovebirds were first friends for almost 15 years, then they began dating in 2012 after Ashton's marriage to Demi Moore ended and now the former That '70s Show co-stars are engaged. 

E! has confirmed that Mila (30) and Ashton (36) got engaged recently and are planning to make it official soon. Yesterday Kunis was pictured sporting a huge diamond ring on her finger when she was out shopping in Los Angeles.

Internalized anger is a ticking time-bomb which can lead to abusive or self-destructive behavior, or a combination of both.

Just six months after the couple wed, Ian Cuthbert heard allegations that his wife had been in a relationship with another man.

It all started when Alison Kidd moved out of their home. The 46 years old posted raunchy pictures of his 34 year old wife in her underwear all over their local town with the captions – "Lock Up Your Husbands" and "Married and committing adultery within days".

The IT boss from Broxburn, West Lothian posted the fliers on trees, lamp posts, local entries and on a noticeboard of the school where the woman worked.

He was said to be in an "extreme state" when he put up the fliers believing his wife had been unfaithful and cheated on him.

Allison was left shocked and embarrassed. She called the police and Ian was charged with distributing offensive pictures of his wife after pleading guilty.

The couple is now in the process of getting a divorce.

Insiders say Chris Brown has been reaching out to Rihanna after completing a 90-day stint in rehab and her friends are worried the volatile couple may reunite.

Meanwhile, RiRi is rumored to be spending time in Paris with Drake and even joined him onstage (pictured right).

Brown reportedly texted Rihanna on her birthday and the Bajan beauty couldn’t help herself and replied “thank you”.

But another source familiar with situation said it was Rihanna who initially reached out to Brown, telling him she “missed him,” before she flew off to Paris to meet Drake.

Well, it's unclear who started but the texts became “flirty”.....according to pagesix.com:

Man who killed another man with a single punch sentenced to 4yrs in prison

Lewis Gill,20, knocked 40 year old autistic man Andrew Young to the ground with a single blow a single punch following an argument about cycling on the pavement in November 2013.

Grill (pictured above) killed Young (pictured below) with a single punch in the face in an unprovoked attack captured on CCTV.

In the video, Young is seen talking to acquaintance of Gill’s about his cycling on the pavement outside the Tesco Metro store on Charminster Road, Bournemouth but moments later Gill is seen punching him.

The victim died the next day at Southampton hospital.

Gill pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced four years in prison on Friday.

However, Young’s family is not happy about the sentence, claiming was too lenient and expected him to get more than that. The attorney general has until 21 March to decide whether to refer the sentence to the Court of Appeal.

Boko Haram strikes in Adamawa, kills 9, burn down property

Suspected Boko Haram Islamist militants yesterday night attacked settlers at Kirchinga, Michika, Shuwari and Shuwa district all in Adamawa state and burned down several cars, houses, shops and even a First Bank Complex.

The gunmen also burned down 3 catholic churches in Shuwari as well as a seminary school (Saint Joseph Minor Seminary) in Shuwa.

The men came in nine Toyota Hilux vans, firing guns and throwing explosives. 9 people have so far been confirmed dead, including a staff of Bank of Agriculture.

The attack came a day after they stomped the Federal Government college in Yobe state and killed atleast 43 young students.

Boko Harams have killed more than 200 people so far this month.

During an radio interview on Tuesday, The Game revealed he once dated Kim in an attempt to dismiss rumors that he is romancing newly single Khloe Kardashian.

The rapper and Khloe have been spotted together several times over the past few months.

He told DJ Charlie Sloth on BBC Radio1Extra:
Me and Khloe, those are just rumours. It's funny man cos me and Khloe we're cool. People don't know, but I've been knowing Khloe for 12 years - you know what I'm saying? Katy Perry and John Mayer reportedly break up

Katy Perry (29) and John Mayer (36) have reportedly split after 18 months of dating. According to E! News, Katy ended things with John a few days ago.

The couple sparked speculation they were engaged when Perry stepped out on Valentine's Day wearing a ring on her engagement finger.

E! reports:
No other details about what prompted the singer's decision were forthcoming, but Mayer was noticeably absent from Perry's side on her recent trip to London and Milan. She returned home to Los Angeles on Friday.

Despite some early ups and down, the musical pair fast became one of Hollywood's hottest couples, sweetly gushing about each other in interviews and collaborating on the song "Who You Love," off of Mayer's latest album, Paradise Valley.
Neither of them has commented on the reports as yet.

Ugandan newspaper names 200 homos

Just a day after the Ugandan President signed the anti-gay bill into law, the Red Pepper tabloid has published a list of 200 people it accused of being gay and called for them to be executed.

The daily newspaper published the names and some pictures of men and women it claims are homos in a front-page under the headline: "Exposed!".

Amongst those listed include Ugandan gay activist Pepe Julian Onziema, Jacqueline Kasha - a well known lesbian activist, hip hop artist as well as a Catholic priest.

In 2011, prominent Ugandan gay rights activist David Kato was brutally murdered at his home after a different newspaper splashed photos, names and addresses of gay people on its front page along with a yellow banner reading "Hang Them".

President Yoweri Museveni said he could not understand how one could fail to be attracted to all those beautiful women and be attracted to a man.

Under Uganda's new-anti-gay law, gay s3x is punishable by life imprisonment.

Museveni earlier this month also signed into law anti-pornography and dress code legislation which outlaws "provocative" clothing.

Boko Haram storms Nigerian school, kills 43 students

Men suspected to be members of an Islamic extremist group, Boko Haram killed 43 young boys today as they slept in the latest school massacre in Nigeria.

The raid at 2:00 am (0100 GMT) targeted the Federal Government College in the town of Buni Yadi in Yobe state.

The attackers reportedly hurled explosives into a locked dormitory, then shot and slit the throats of students who tried to escape through windows.

Some buildings in the school were also reportedly razed.

The insurgents then went to the female dormitories and told the young women to go home, get married and abandon the Western education ― Boko Haram means “Western education is forbidden.”

This is the fourth attack on secondary schools since Boko Haram's four-and-half year Islamist uprising, which has killed thousands of people.

Australian TV star and former model Charlotte Dawson killed herself after receiving abuse from vicious trolls on Twitter just hours before she died.

Famed for TV shows such as 'Australia's Next Top Model, the New Zealand-born star, 47, had a history of depression.

She was found dead in her Sydney apartment yesterday morning February 22nd. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances. She had taken prescription tablets with wine and tweeted: 'you win' in a suicide note to her cyber tormentors. Continue...

Safaree Samuels is Nicki Minaj's longtime boyfriend and Manager. They've been together long before the money and the fame.

Samuels, also known as Scaff Beezy, showed his love for Nicki in a very public way this past weekend on Instagram, after posting a photo of himself shirtless, revealing two new tattoos of the rapper. On the right side of his chest, he got a face tattoo of Minaj, and on the left, he got her first name inked, with stars surrounding it.

New Samsung Galaxy S5 was officially unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Monday.

The new waterproof Galaxy S5 handset features a larger screen, extra security, comes in four colors, improved camera and extended battery life, and will go on sale in the US and nearly 150 other countries on April 11.

It sports a slightly larger 5.1-inch Super AMOLED (1080 X 1920p) display which looks similar to that of the Galaxy S4.

Paula Patton and Robin Thicke have decided to go their separate ways. The longtime couple, who had been dating for over 20 years and married since 2005, announced their separation in a joint statement to People magazine on Monday.
We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.

We're pretty sure we've loved each other for a few lives.
The 38 year old actress and the singer, 36, began dating when Thicke was 14. They have a 3 year old son, Julian Fuego .

Actress Lupita Nyong’o who has been the belle of awards season continued her winning streak.

The “12 Years a Slave” breakout star won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 2014 Image Awards Saturday night in Pasedena, California.

Nyongo’o beat out a tough field for the honor. She faced co-star Alfre Woodard, Oprah Winfrey (Lee Daniels’ The Butler), Naomie Harris (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) and Octavia Spencer (Fruitvale Station) in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture category.

Nigeria village hit by Boko Haram again

Islamist group Boko Haram killed several residents and burnt down Izghe over the weekend.

This is the a second attack on a town. Last Sunday, more than 100 people were killed by gunmen in a raid on Izghe in Borno.

Islamist militants are fighting to establish a strict Islamic state across northern Nigeria. The group has killed thousands, including many Muslims and Christians, since it began its uprising in 2009.

Nigerian authorities needs help from big nations to crack down on the militants federal and stop the continuous attacks.

In a recent interview with Hello Beautiful, Garcelle Beauvais calls out women in entertainment who show too much skin ― wearing super-revealing costumes.

But it looks like G was referencing someone specifically. The 47 year old actress and former fashion model wants Beyoncé to button up a bit, says she can still be sexy without going overboard.
For me, there’s so many ways to be sexy without being overt about it. I think you can wear a great short dress, but if you have long sleeves and you’re only showing leg. I think you have to stick to a body part and show that. I don’t think you have to show all of it.

As I get older, I still want to be sexy, but I want to do it in a different way. I want to do it in a way that’s more classy.

Certain things are just too overt for kids. I love Beyoncé . I love her. I think she’s beautiful and talented. But, I think there has to be a fine line where you have to take responsibility for what you do. I think it’s good to be sexy, but sexy can come across in so many different ways. It doesn't have to be everything showing out grinding, all of the time.

World's most-wanted drug lord is caught in Mexico

It took 13 years to catch him but every story has an end!......

The world's most powerful and elusive drug lord, Joaquín Guzmán Loera, known as El Chapo, has reportedly been captured in Mexico ― ending a 13-year manhunt for the chief supplier of illegal drugs.

El Chapo (Shorty), was busted last night at a hotel in the beach resort town of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, following a lengthy joint operation between U.S. federal law enforcement agencies and Mexican authorities.

Guzmán, is a grade-school dropout who entered the drug world at the age of 15, rising through the criminal ranks to become head of the Sinaloa Cartel, the largest crime syndicate in Mexico.

Sinaloa Cartel smuggles multi-ton shipments of cocaine, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine from Mexico to the United States.

The ring has used small planes, 747 jumbo jets, boats, railroad cars and vast tunnels running under the border to smuggle narcotics into foreign countries, most of it bound for the United States.

Eric Ortiz from Deltona, Florida, has invented his particular method of dealing with arachnophobia by tattooing a black widow spider on his face.

The 24 years old said:
Everybody fears spiders. That’s why I got it. Just to, like, make me know, that that’s what I fear, but not to fear it.

Everybody looks at it like, “Damn spider” ’cause if you’re going around your house, you know what I’m saying, you see those spiders, you’re going to jump, you’re going to jump, so putting one on my face, I say.

It’s not the first time the Keeping up with the Kardashians has been accused of faking scenes......

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were reportedly already engaged before his over-the-top proposal at AT&T Park in San Francisco.

According to Radar Online, Mr. West already popped the question to Kim as she was spotted with her engagement ring, a full week before the next episode when she actually gets engaged.

The 'realness' of the show is questionable ― many people don't think there is anything real about the show at all.

Fake scenes are edited to make the viewer believe what producers want them to.

Frankly the proposal was planned. I watched the episode titled "A Surprise Engagement Pt. 2" ....for real!, Kim didn't seem very surprised.....she was acting like she knew.

President Mugabe turns 90, says not yet to retire

Zimbabwe’s longtime President Robert Mugabe turned 90 today. In addressing his ruling Zanu-PF party faithfuls, he made it clear that he's not ready to vacate his seat yet.
When the day comes and I retire, yes, sure, the day will come, but I do not want to leave my party in tatters. I want to leave it intact.
Mugabe, who won another five years in office in last year’s election, has indicated that he intends to serve his full term until 2018 when he turns 94.

Mugabe has ruled Zimbabwe for 34 years now since the country gained independence in 1980. He is Africa's oldest leader and longest reign president.

This is EPIC!, don't even know what to call this......mindless criminals!

A pair of thieves were caught by police after posting a string of pictures of them posing with luxury stolen cars and bikes on Facebook.

Jonathan Dougan, 26 (right), and Matthew Murphy, 23 (left), took photographs of the loot they stole in raids across north Manchester, Bury and Salford.

The dumbest thieves got caught after owner of stolen bike saw a photo of it on their Facebook page.

Police then used evidence on the social-networking site to track them down and convict them.

Its not early forced marriage.......he is 36 years old!

Chinedu Ikedieze aka Aki, is a Nigerian actor who was born in December 12, 1977, Bende, Abia, Nigeria.

The pint sized actor married his long time girlfriend Nneoma Hope Nwajah, whom he had dated since 2005. They got engaged in 2007 and walked down the isle in 2012.

Nneoma is quite taller than Chinedu, but the actor insisted that it is actually one of the features of his dream woman.

In 2007, Ikedieze received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the African Movie Academy Awards and has starred in over a 100 flicks.
